Visual Artist, Storyteller, Traveler, Nature Enthusiast & Learner

Influence of art and sports in my family lineage has the been foundation for my artistic journey. I received initial guidance from my parents, which set the stage for my self-exploration and experimentation with different mediums. The blend of familial tradition and personal passion led to a rich and evolving artistic practice.
As someone deeply interested in technology, my curiosity has led me to become an enthusiastic traveller, a non-fiction reader, nature lover, an avid photographer, and a devoted listener of various music genres. Various art forms have profoundly shaped my belief that, we are lifelong learners.
I reignited my passion for watercolors after a significant hiatus of 14 years, using it as a sanctuary from the demands of my corporate life. The journey involved self-learning and experimentation with various mediums like watercolor, acrylics, gouache, and ink, all while maintaining a full-time corporate career with globally renowned companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Bajaj Finserv, Tata group. All this continuously assessed my resolve, commitment, and time management skills to balance my profession & passion!
Over time, I have discovered a more harmonious work-life balance that allows me to devote more time to painting. What started as a weekend activity a decade ago has evolved into a daily practice for years. Regardless of how demanding my workday has been, I make it a point to practice each day.
Embracing the unpredictability of water and colors allows for truly original and captivating creations. I have never been afraid to break conventional rules to achieve more fascinating and meaningful outcomes. The bold stance often leads to innovation and personal growth as an artist. It is fascinating how the unpredictable nature of watercolors can be both a challenge and an allure. The way the colors blend and react to water can indeed lead to unique, suggestive results that evolve over time.
My deep connection to the rural and semi-urban landscapes of India, particularly the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, clearly serve as a rich tapestry of inspiration for my paintings. The art, culture, and natural beauty I have experienced throughout my life in these regions are reflected in my work, creating a resonant bond between art and the heart of Bharat where I grew up.
It offers a significant reward when an artist can translate their personal journey and heritage into their creations, sharing the essence of their homeland with others through each brushstroke. I continue to retreat frequently into scenic & abundant natural surroundings as it offers a major source of peace, energy, subjects & atmosphere to paint.
More than two hundred of my paintings are in private collection across India, UAE & USA. Over the last decade, I have exhibited through multiple solo & joint shows & various art forums across India.
